The highlight is arguably the incredible Pride Parade and Festival, which usually takes place on the last weekend of Miami Beach Pride, and includes a colorful parade along Ocean Drive, followed by an amazing post-parade festival on the beach - could things get any better? The festival lasts for two-days, and usually welcomes big-name DJs and live performers. What started as a small neighborhood event, has now transformed into a week-long global celebration, welcoming a host of international stars and a jam-packed program of entertainment. Since then, Miami Pride has grown healthily into the largest event of the year for the city, attracting an estimated 170,000 party revelers and welcoming plenty of A-list celebrities including Iggy Azalea, Jordin Sparks, Gloria Estefan and Adam Lambert.
Miami has always been a stronghold in terms of LGBTQ culture, and this was reflected in the city's inaugural Pride Parade in 2009, which welcomed an impressive 15,000 people. This incredible beach pride has been taking place every year since 2009, and by the sound of things we can look forward to a jam-packed program of fun in the sun.

Admission to the festival and parade is free and open to the public. Performances from A-list headliners, international DJs, local and world-renowned performers, drag queens and more await. Beginning at noon on Ocean Drive from 5th to 15th Streets, thousands of Miami Beach Pride Parade participants and spectators will showcase their pride with colourful costumes and fabulous floats.įollowing the parade, guests are invited to celebrate their pride once again during the second day of the Miami Beach Pride Festival. The main event - the 12th Annual Pride Parade - takes place Sunday, April 5, 2020. Guests can also take a ride on a Ferris Wheel, meet representatives from pro-LGBTQ+ nonprofit organizations and businesses, and savour delicious food and cocktails. Guests can enjoy live performances from world-class DJs, entertainers and celebrities on two stages. More than 100,000 participants and spectators are expected to attend the two-day Miami Beach Pride Festival in Lummus Park on Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5, 2020. Other events include a Pride Lights the Night remembrance for the victims of the PULSE nightclub shooting, a Miss Miami Beach Pride drag queen pageant and an exclusive VIP Gala.
Events include a rainbow flag-raising ceremony at Miami Beach City Hall, a festival and parade with exclusive VIP areas, renowned celebrities, musical performances, refreshments, food, a lounge for LGBTQ+ seniors, “The Garden of Eve” Women’s tent, the Tea Tent, and family-friendly and pet play areas.
Miami Beach Pride is a nine-day celebration taking place March 28-April 5, 2020. Unfortunately, Miami Pride is being postponed due to circumstances of Covid-19.
